An MCP server that provides tools to search for and retrieve papers from arXiv.org.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Deno installed on your system.
• Compatible with the MCP environment.

Setup

1. Clone the repository.
2. Install dependencies:

deno cache --reload src/main.ts

🚀 Quick Start

Run the server in development mode with file monitoring:

deno task dev

Build an executable file:

deno task compile

💻 Usage Examples

Integrate with Claude Desktop

Add the following configuration to your claude_desktop_config.json file:

Replace /path/to/dir with the actual path to the compiled binary.

Usage

The server provides a tool named search_arxiv that accepts the following parameters:

  "max_results": number  // Number of papers to retrieve (1 - 100, default is 5)
}

Example

Request:

}

This will return the 5 most recent papers in the artificial intelligence category.
