Resend Email

🚀 MCP for Sending Emails 💌

This is a simple MCP server that uses Resend's API to send emails. Why do this? Now you can have Cursor or Claude Desktop write an email for you and send it immediately without copying and pasting the email content.

🚀 Quick Start

💻 Cursor Setup

1. First, you need to authorize Resend to send emails from your domain or email. Follow the steps here to set up and obtain your Resend API key.
2. Clone the project locally. Edit the index.ts file and replace me@yoko.dev with your own email address to send emails.
3. Run npm install in the project directory, and then run npm run build. You should now see the /build/index.js file generated - this is the MCP server script!

Then go to Cursor Settings -> MCP -> Add a new MCP server

• Name: [Choose your own name]
• Type: Command
• Command: node absolute_path_to_MCP_server/build/index.js --key=your_Resend_API_KEY --sender=optional_sender_email_address --reply-to=optional_reply_to_email_address_1 --reply-to=optional_reply_to_email_address_2

You can obtain your Resend API key here.

Now you can test sending an email by replacing the to: email address in email.md, selecting all the content, and pressing cmd + l. You can tell it in the Cursor chat "Send this as an email". Make sure the Cursor chat is in proxy mode by selecting "Proxy" in the dropdown menu at the bottom left (if the dropdown menu is not visible, try full-screening the app).
