Installation and Configuration

To use the Airtable MCP Server, follow these steps for installation and configuration:

1. Install Git and Node.js
2. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/your-repository.git
   

3. Install dependencies:

   npm install
   

4. Set environment variables:
   • Configure Airtable's API token and Base ID.
   • Example configuration file config.json:

     }

   mcp delete-table --baseId your-base-id --tableId your-table-id
   

Field Management Tools

1. Create a Field:

   mcp create-field --baseId your-base-id --tableId your-table-id --name "New Field" --type "text"
   

2. Update a Field:

   mcp update-field --baseId your-base-id --tableId your-table-id --fieldId field123456789 --newName "Updated Field"
   

3. Delete a Field:

   mcp delete-field --baseId your-base-id --tableId your-table-id --fieldId field123456789

• URL Format:

  airtable://<baseId>/<tableId>/schema
  

• Included Content:
  • Base ID and Table ID
  • Table name and description
  • Primary key field ID
  • Field definitions (ID, name, type, description, options)
  • View definitions (ID, name, type)
