Easy AutoCAD

🚀 AutoCAD MCP Server

An integrated AutoCAD server based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling interaction with AutoCAD using natural language through large language models (LLMs) such as Claude. This case is for reference and learning purposes only. Some CAD functions are not yet implemented, but end-to-end communication with AutoCAD has been achieved. Specific utility functions are still under development.

📦 Installation

System Requirements

• Python 3.10 or higher
• AutoCAD 2018 or higher (COM interface support required)
• Windows operating system

Installation Steps

1. Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/autocad-mcp-server.git
cd autocad-mcp-server

2. Create and activate a virtual environment

• Windows:

python -m venv .venv
.venv\Scripts\activate

• macOS / Linux:

python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate

3. Install dependencies

pip install -r requirements.txt

4. (Optional) Build an executable file

pyinstaller --onefile server.py

Run as an independent server

python server.py

Integrate with Claude Desktop

Edit the Claude Desktop configuration file (paths are as follows):

• Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
