🚀 MCP Code Analyzer

The MCP tool is primarily designed to intelligently adapt to project changes. For example, when code modifications or structural adjustments are required, it aims to ensure that other relevant usages are updated accordingly.

Currently, there are many bugs in the project, and the tool sometimes fails to work properly. Due to work commitments, I don't have much time to fix the issues for now, but I'll do my best to resolve them and make the tool functional.

⚠️ Important Note

It is recommended to make a backup. This tool performs file operations and may modify or delete files. Always back up your codebase before using any modification features.

🚀 Quick Start

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) Code Analyzer is a comprehensive code analysis and management tool integrated with Claude Desktop. It analyzes code at the project and file levels, providing insights into required changes and project understanding.

Prerequisites

• Python 3.10 or higher
• Windows (Linux/MacOS support has not been tested yet)

Installation

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/[your-username]/mcp-code-analyzer.git
cd mcp-code-analyzer

# Install dependencies and packages
pip install -e .

Claude Desktop Integration

Configuration

1. Access the Claude Desktop configuration:

   Win + R → %AppData%\Claude\
   

2. Create/Edit claude_desktop_config.json:

Path Configuration

• Multiple project paths can be specified.
• Additional paths or files can be analyzed via chat messages.
• There is no limit to the number of analyzable paths/files.

Known Issues

1. Chat context limitations may interrupt modifications to large files.

Note: This video demonstrates the tool's functionality rather than providing a complete tutorial. Although the game cannot be fully played due to Claude's message limitations, the video shows how the MCP tool works and the operations it can perform.
