The Headline Vibes Analysis MCP Server is a powerful tool for sentiment analysis of news headlines. It provides an intuitive way to understand the mood of the news through sentiment scores.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js v16 or higher.
• NewsAPI key (Get it from: https://newsapi.org).

Steps

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/fred-em/headline-vibes.git
cd headline-vibes

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Build the server:

npm run build

4. Configure the NewsAPI key in your MCP settings file:

News Sources

The server fetches headlines from major US news sources, including:

Error Handling

The following errors may occur:

• Invalid Input: An error message will be displayed if a valid date string is not provided.
• API Error: An error message will be shown if data cannot be retrieved from NewsAPI.

To run the server in development mode, execute the following command:
