• coordinate_convert: Convert coordinates between different coordinate systems (GPS, mapbar, baidu, autonavi).
• keyword_search: Search for locations by keywords.
• around_search: Search for nearby locations based on a specific position.
• polygon_search: Search for locations within a given polygon area.
• id_search: Search for a specific location by its ID.
• aoi_boundary_query: Query the boundaries of an Area of Interest (AOI).

📦 Installation

Development

Install dependencies:

npm install

Build the server:

npm run build

Development with auto-rebuild:

npm run watch

Configuration for Claude Desktop

To use with Claude Desktop, add the server configuration:

On MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json On Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json%

⚠️ Important Note

You need to obtain an AMap API key and set it as the AMAP_API_KEY environment variable.

Debugging

Since MCP servers communicate via standard input and output, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, a package tool that can be run with the following command:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL for accessing the debugging tools in your browser.
