Development Steps

1. Set up environment variables:

Create a .env file in the root directory and set the path to your chat database.

CHAT_DB_PATH=path-to/chatbot/data/chat.db

2. Install dependencies:

pnpm install

Build the server:

pnpm build

Develop with automatic rebuild:

pnpm watch

📦 Installation

To use it on Claude Desktop, add the server configuration as follows:

On MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json On Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Debugging

Since the MCP server communicates via stdio, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, which is provided as a package script:

pnpm inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL to access the debugging tool in a browser.
