🚀 Monkey - Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server

This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server implemented using .NET 9.0. The MCP server provides a communication protocol for interaction between components in model - based systems. This implementation demonstrates how to set up a basic MCP server using custom tools and services.

Available Tools

The server exposes several tools that can be called by clients:

Monkey Tools

• GetMonkeys: Returns a JSON - serialized list of all monkeys.
• GetMonkey: Retrieves information about a specific monkey by name.

Echo Tool

• Echo: A simple tool that echoes the provided message with a "hello" prefix.

Host Configuration

The server is configured using Microsoft.Extensions.Hosting (version 9.0.3):

• Supports loading configuration from multiple sources (JSON, environment variables, command line).
• Provides the ability to inject dependency services.
• Has logging capabilities.

Log Provider Options

There are several log providers available:

• Console: Outputs to standard output.
• Debug: Logs for debugging purposes.
• File: Writes logs to a file.
• Event Source: Logs through an event source.

📦 Installation

Run the following command in a terminal window to start the MCP server:

dotnet run --project ./MCP/Server.csproj
