🚀 HWP-MCP Project Introduction

HWP-MCP is a server that enables AI models to interact with the Korean (Hancom) word processing program. It controls the Korean word processing program through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and supports various functions, including document generation, text editing, and table operations.

🚀 Quick Start

HWP-MCP can be integrated with AI models such as Claude. Here are the specific configurations and examples:

Claude Integration

• Add the following content to the config.json file:

📦 Installation

System Requirements

• Operating System: Windows operating system must be installed and running.

Installation Steps

1. Clone the Repository
   • Open the terminal and run the following command:

git clone https://github.com/your-repository/hwp-mcp.git

2. Install Dependencies
   • Use pip for installation:

cd hwp-mcp
pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Optional: Install the HWP-MCP Package
   • If necessary, run the following command:

pip install hwp-mcp

Troubleshooting

1. Security Module Issue
   • If you encounter a security dialog, ensure that the HWP word processing program is correctly installed and running.
2. Connection Failure
   • Confirm that the Hancom HWP word processing program is started and working properly.
3. Abnormal Table Data Input
   • Check if the current cursor position is correct and ensure there are no other interfering factors.
