🚀 Microsoft Teams MCP Server

A MCP server tool for Microsoft Teams chat notifications.

This content is for reference only. MCP clients other than VS Code have not been tested.

The server implements one tool:

• send-notification: Sends notification messages to Microsoft Teams
  • Accepts two required string parameters: "message" and "project"
  • Supports messages in Markdown format
  • Uses Azure AD authentication for secure communication with Teams

📚 Documentation

Configuration

The server requires the following environment variables:

• BOT_ENDPOINT: The URL endpoint of the Microsoft Teams bot
• MICROSOFT_APP_ID: The client ID from your Azure AD app registration
• MICROSOFT_APP_PASSWORD: The client secret from your Azure AD app registration
• MICROSOFT_APP_TENANT_ID: Your Azure AD tenant ID
• EMAIL: The email address of the user to receive notifications

These variables can be set in the .env file in the project root directory.

Development

Build

To prepare the distribution package:

1. Synchronize dependencies and update the lock file:

uv sync

2. Build the package distribution:
