🚀 MCP SQLite Server

An SQLite server for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) implemented in Node.js, based on the official Python reference implementation. This version provides an npx-based alternative for environments where the UVX runner with Python cannot be used, such as in LibreChat.

Use with Claude Desktop

Install via Smithery

Automatically install the MCP SQLite server to support Claude Desktop through Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install mcp-server-sqlite-npx --client claude

🔧 Development

Install Dependencies

npm ci

Build TypeScript Code

npm run build

Test with MCP Inspector

You can test the server using the MCP Inspector tool:

npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector node dist/index.js /absolute/path/to/database.db

After Connect, go to Tools to start using the server.

Test with Claude Desktop

Add the following to claude_desktop_config.json:

Release a New Version

Run the following command in the terminal to release a new version:

npm run build && npm version patch -m "Release new version"
