This is an implementation of Mark3 Labs' MCP server on Nuclei, a fast and customizable vulnerability scanning tool.

🚀 Quick Start

This server offers the following tools:

1. nuclei_scan: Perform a full Nuclei scan with template filtering.
2. basic_scan: Perform a simple scan without template IDs.
3. vulnerability_resource: Query scan results as resources.
4. advanced_scan: Perform a comprehensive scan with numerous configuration options.
5. template_sources_scan: Perform a scan using custom template sources.

📦 Installation

You can directly run the server using the Go language:

# In the Nuclei directory
go run nuclei_mcp.go

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

The MCP Inspector tool is a powerful utility for debugging and testing the MCP server. To use it with the Nuclei MCP server:

# Install the MCP Inspector tool (if not already installed)
npm install -g @modelcontextprotocol/inspector

# Use the Inspector tool to run the Nuclei MCP server
npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector go run ./nuclei_mcp.go

This will:

1. Launch the MCP Inspector tool UI (access at: http://localhost:5173).
2. Start the Nuclei MCP server.
3. Connect the Inspector tool to the server.

In the Inspector tool's UI, you can:

• View available tools and their modes.
• Execute tool calls and view results.
• Check the resources provided by the server.
• Monitor server notifications.

Advanced Usage

Configure the server through environment variables:

• CACHE_EXPIRY: Cache expiration duration (default: 1h).
• LOG_LEVEL: Log level (default: info).
