Prerequisites

National Park API Key

1. Obtain a free API key from the National Park Service Developer Portal.
2. Securely store this key as it will be required for subsequent authenticated requests.

Installation via Smithery

1. Run the following command in your terminal:

   npx mcp-server-nationalparks init
   

2. Follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
3. Modify the config.json file and add your NPS API key.

1. Search for Parks

• Input: Specify a state name or region.
• Output: Return a list of all national parks in the area, including park names, addresses, and brief introductions.
