🚀 Blogger MCP Server

This is a server implementing the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for Google's Blogger API. It enables AI models like Claude to directly interact with the Blogger platform, offering the following capabilities:

• List and retrieve blogs
• List, search, retrieve, create, update, and delete posts
• List and retrieve labels

⚠️ Important Note

Google's Blogger API does not allow creating new blogs via the API. You need to manually create blogs through the Blogger web interface.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Node.js (version 16 or higher)
• Google Blogger API key

📦 Installation

Install via npm

npm install -g @mcproadev/blogger-mcp-server

Clone the repository using Git

git clone https://github.com/your-repository.git
cd blogger-mcp-server
npm install

📚 Configuration

Download the source code

git clone https://github.com/your-repository.git
cd blogger-mcp-server
npm install

Configure environment variables

Create a .env file in the project's root directory and add the following content:

BLOGGER_API_KEY=Your Blogger API key

• index.ts: Main entry file

• bloggerService.ts: Service for interacting with the Blogger API

• mcp-sdk-mock.ts: Simplified MCP SDK implementation to avoid dependency issues

Limitations

• Blog Creation: Google's Blogger API does not support creating new blogs via the API. You need to manually create blogs through the Blogger web interface.
• Post Search: The Blogger API does not have a direct search endpoint. This function is implemented by filtering all retrieved posts.
• Label Management: The Blogger API does not have a direct label management endpoint. This function is implemented by extracting labels from posts.
• Authentication: This server only uses API keys for authentication, which means you can only access public blogs or blogs with configured access permissions.
