🚀 Office - PowerPoint Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server

This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that uses Python-pptx to create and manipulate PowerPoint presentations. The server offers a range of tools for performing various operations on PPT files, including creation, editing, saving, and information retrieval.

📦 Installation

Install using the setup script

1. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/your-username/ppt-mcp-server.git
cd ppt-mcp-server

2. Install dependencies:

pip install python-pptx requests

3. Start the server:

python server.py

⚙️ Configuration

Server Configuration

• Server Name: ppt
• Listening Address: 0.0.0.0
• Port Number: 5000

Request Format

All requests need to include the following common parameters:

Document Tools

• create_presentation: Create a new presentation.
• get_presentation_info: Get information about the current presentation.
• set_core_properties: Set the core properties of the document.

Slide Tools

• add_slide: Add a new slide to the presentation.
• get_slide_info: Get information about a specific slide.
• populate_placeholder: Fill the placeholder content in a slide.
• add_bullet_points: Add a bulleted list to the placeholder.

Text Tools

• add_textbox: Add a text box to the slide.

Image Tools

• add_image: Add an image to the slide.
• add_image_from_base64: Add an image to the slide from a Base64 string.

Table Tools

• add_table: Add a table to the slide.
• format_table_cell: Format a cell in the table.

Shape Tools

• add_shape: Add a freeform shape to the slide.

Chart Tools

• add_chart: Add a chart to the slide.
