The AWS S3 MCP Server is designed to offer secure access to AWS S3 buckets. It leverages pre-signed URLs to ensure the security of S3 operations.

Tools

1. list_objects

   • Lists objects in the bucket.
   • Input:
     • prefix (string, optional): A prefix filter for object keys.
   • Returns: An array of objects containing keys, sizes, and last modified dates.

2. get_object

   • Generates a pre-signed URL for retrieving an object.
   • Input:
     • key (string, required): The key of the object to retrieve.
     • expiry (number, optional): The expiration time of the URL in seconds (default: 3600).
   • Returns: An object_url containing the pre-signed URL.

3. put_object

   • Generates a pre-signed URL for uploading an object.
   • Input:
     • key (string, required): The key of the object to upload.
     • expiry (number, optional): The expiration time of the URL in seconds (default: 3600).
   • Returns: An upload_url containing the upload URL.

4. delete_object

   • Deletes an object from the bucket.
   • Input:
     • key (string, required): The key of the object to delete.
   • Returns: A success boolean indicating the deletion status.

📦 Installation

Environment Variables

The server requires the following environment variables:

• BUCKET_NAME: Your S3 bucket name (required).
• REGION: The AWS region (default: "ap-southeast-1").

AWS credentials should be configured using standard AWS credential configuration methods (environment variables, IAM roles, or AWS credential files).
