📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/ronniemh/phrases-MCP-server.git

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Start the server:

node index.js

🔧 Configuration with Desktop Claude

Steps:

1. Copy the configuration file: Copy config.json to the project root directory.
2. Edit the configuration file: Modify the API address and other parameters as needed.
3. Restart the server: Restart the MCP service after completing the configuration.

Example paths:

Windows: %UserProfile%\.claude\config.json
MacOS and Linux: ~/.claude/config.json

💻 Usage Examples

In desktop Claude, you can execute the following commands to interact with the phrase manager:

📁 Project Structure

• src/: Contains all source code files.
• public/: Stores public assets such as images and style sheets.
• config.json: The project's configuration file.

📋 Development Workflow

Workflow Description:

1. Coding Phase:

   • Write core functions.
   • Implement the interaction logic with desktop Claude.

2. Testing Phase:

   • Execute unit tests.
   • Ensure API requests are correct.

3. Deployment Phase:

   • Commit code to the repository.
   • Push to the production environment.

🔧 MockAPI Configuration

Create Your Own Instance:

1. Register an account on MockAPI.

2. Create a new project and add a user resource with the following fields:

   • id (number, auto-generated)
   • name (string)
   • phrase (string)

3. Obtain and replace the BASE_URL value in src/helpers/makeMockAPIRequest.ts.

• This server uses a mock API to store data. In a production environment, consider integrating a real database.
• The project structure follows the official MCP guidelines to ensure better maintainability.
• If you encounter issues related to MockAPI, please check the usage limits of the free tier.
