📦 Installation

💻 Usage Examples

Use with Claude or other MCP-compatible assistants

1. Include this server in the MCP settings of the Claude desktop app or browser extension:

2. Restart Claude or refresh the page.

Example Commands

Here are some examples of using the MCP-GDB server via Claude:

Start a GDB session

Use gdb_start to start a new debugging session.

Load a program

Use gdb_load to load /path/to/my/program and pass in the sessionId returned from gdb_start.

Set a breakpoint

Use gdb_set_breakpoint to set a breakpoint in the main program of the current GDB session.

Run the program

Use gdb_continue to start execution.

View variables

Use gdb_print to evaluate the expression "my_variable" in the current context.

Get the call stack

Use gdb_backtrace to view the current call stack.

End the session

Use gdb_terminate to end the debugging session.
