This is a TypeScript-based MCP server that implements an unreasonable thinking system. It helps generate unconventional problem solutions in the following ways:

• Generate unreasonable ideas that challenge conventional wisdom
• Create thinking branches in different directions
• Track and organize thoughts in conversations

  • Accepts problem descriptions and optional parameters
  • Can continue or refute previous thoughts
• branch_thought - Create new thinking branches
  • Supports different directions: more extreme, opposite, related
  • Maintains a connection with the source thought
• list_thoughts - View all ideas in the conversation
  • Can be filtered by branch
  • Displays relationships between thoughts

📦 Installation

To use with Claude Desktop, add the server configuration:

Debugging

Since MCP servers communicate via standard input and output, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, which is provided as a package script:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL to access browser debugging tools.

Development

Install dependencies:

npm install

Build the server:

npm run build

Development with automatic rebuild:

npm run watch
