A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for integrating Gyazo images.

This is an MCP server built with TypeScript that provides access to Gyazo images. It allows AI assistants to access and manipulate Gyazo images through the Model Context Protocol, including:

• Gyazo image resources represented by the gyazo-mcp:// URI and their metadata
• Tools for searching, retrieving, and uploading images
• Retrieving image content and metadata via the Gyazo API

Resources

• List and access Gyazo images using the gyazo-mcp:// URI.
• Each image includes:
  • The original image content.
  • Metadata (title, description, application, URL).
  • OCR data (if available).
• Supports multiple image formats (JPEG, PNG, etc.).

Tools

• gyazo_search: Search for user-uploaded captures on Gyazo by full text.
  • Search by keyword, title, application, URL, or date range.
  • Supports paginated browsing of multiple results.
  • Returns URIs and metadata of matching images.
• gyazo_image: Retrieve image content and metadata from Gyazo.
  • Retrieve a specific image by ID or URL.
  • Returns the image content and detailed metadata.
• gyazo_latest_image: Get the latest image from Gyazo.
  • Returns the image content and metadata.
  • Includes available OCR text.
• gyazo_upload: Upload an image to Gyazo.
  • Upload using base64-encoded image data.
  • Optionally add metadata such as title, description, referrer URL, and application name.
  • Returns the permanent link URL and ID of the uploaded image.

📦 Installation

NPM Package

The easiest way to install the Gyazo MCP server is via npm:

npm install -g @notainc/gyazo-mcp-server

Prerequisites

• If you don't have a Gyazo account, sign up first: https://gyazo.com
• Get your Gyazo API access token: https://gyazo.com/api
  • Click the "Register an application" button.
  • Click the "New application" button.
  • Fill out the form. Name and callback URL are required.
    • You can use http://localhost as the callback URL.
  • Click the "Submit" button.
  • Click on the application to view details.
  • Scroll down to "Your access token".
  • Click the "Generate" button.
  • Copy the "Your access token" value.
• Set the environment variable GYAZO_ACCESS_TOKEN to your token.

Claude Desktop Integration

To use it with Claude Desktop, add the server configuration:

• On MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• On Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Building

1. Clone the repository.
2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Run the development server:

npm run dev

Scripts

• npm run dev: Run the server in development mode.
• npm run build: Build the production version.
• npm run test: Run tests.
• npm run lint: Perform code checks.
