This is a server-side tool for accessing Google Patents data. Through this server, you can use the SerpApi interface for patent searches, and it supports custom parameters and filters.

This server-side tool enables access to Google Patents data. It allows you to perform patent searches using the SerpApi interface with customizable parameters and filters.

📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone <repository-url>
cd google-patents-mcp

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Create a configuration file .env (refer to .env.example) and add SERPAPI_API_KEY.

💻 Usage

Run the project

1. Build the project:

npm run build

2. Start the service:

npm start

Or use the auto-rebuild feature in the development environment:

npm run dev

Server Configuration

• Port: The default port is 3000, which can be customized.
• Log File: It tries to save in the project root directory, user home directory, or /tmp directory.

Logging

• Output to standard error.
• The log level can be controlled via the LOG_LEVEL environment variable (default is info).
• Supported levels: error, warn, info, http, verbose, debug, silly.

Dependencies

• express: HTTP service framework.
• dotenv: Load environment variables.
• winston: Logging library.
