Quick Installation

Install Prisma via npm:

npm install prisma --save-dev

Then initialize the Prisma configuration file in the project root directory:

npx prisma init --sample

Complete the database connection configuration as prompted.

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

1. Create a data model: Define your data model in the prisma/schema.prisma file.

   model User {
     id       Int      @id
     name     String
     email    String   @unique
     posts    Post[]
   }
   
   model Post {
     id       Int      @id
     title    String
     content  String?
     author   User     @relation(fields: [authorId], references: [id])
     authorId Int
   }
   

2. Run database migrations: Execute the following commands in the terminal to generate and apply migration files:

   npx prisma db pull
   npx prisma db push
   

3. Query using the Prisma client: Import the Prisma client in your project and use it for database operations.

   import { PrismaClient } from '@prisma/client';
   
   const prisma = new PrismaClient();
   
   async function main() {
     const users = await prisma.user.findMany();
     console.log(users);
   }
   
   main().catch((e) => console.error(e));
