The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a universal multifunctional proxy server that simplifies server operations and offers a variety of useful tools. It supports different running modes and emphasizes security in its design.

🚀 Quick Start

📦 Installation

uv sync && uv pip install --upgrade .

🚀 Starting the Server

umcp run

# Or run in SSE mode:
umcp run --transport-mode sse

🚀 Running the Server

🔧 Default Mode

Start the default console mode:

umcp run

🔧 SSE Mode

Run the server in SSE (Server-Sent Events) mode, suitable for web and remote client connections:

# Start the server in SSE mode:
umcp run --transport-mode sse

# Or use the shortcut:
umcp run -t sse

# Set custom host and port:
umcp run -t sse --host 0.0.0.0 --port 8080

📂 File System Tools

• file_system.read_file: Read the content of a file and return it.
• file_system.write_file: Write content to a specified file, supporting overwrite and append modes.

📊 Data Processing Tools

• json_parser.parse_json: Parse JSON-formatted data.
• csv_processor.process_csv: Process CSV files, extracting or transforming data.

🌐 Network Request Tools

• http_request.get: Send a GET request and get the response content.
• http_request.post: Send a POST request and pass custom headers and body content.

💻 Command Line Tools

• cli_parser.run_command: Execute a command-line instruction and return the output result.
