A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to simplify the discovery and copying of available MCP services, especially for Claude Desktop users.

🚀 Quick Start

This MCP server is designed to be your first stop when using Claude Desktop. It addresses the following issues:

1. Automatically read the Claude Desktop configuration file.
2. Extract all configured MCP service names.
3. Display them in an easily copyable format at the top of the tool list.

Although Claude can now automatically select the appropriate MCP service in most scenarios, there are still situations where users need to explicitly specify the MCP service name:

• When you have configured multiple MCP services, making the tool list too long and difficult to navigate.
• When a specific MCP service offers multiple callable operations, further increasing the list length.
• When you need to instruct Claude to use a specific service instead of relying on automatic selection.
• When troubleshooting or comparing the results of different MCP services.

This tool bridges the gap, allowing easy access to all services without searching through the configuration file.

📦 Installation

Option 1: Via npm (Recommended)

Troubleshooting

• Check the logs: View the log files.
  • macOS: ~/Library/Logs/Claude/mcp-server-mcp-easy-copy.log
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\logs\mcp-server-mcp-easy-copy.log
• Verify the configuration: Ensure that claude_desktop_config.json is valid JSON.
• Check Node.js: Confirm that Node.js is correctly installed (node --version).
• Restart Claude: Always restart Claude Desktop after making configuration changes.

Future Outlook

Although we are unaware of Anthropic's roadmap, we envision that future versions may have autocomplete-like functionality. For example, displaying a dropdown list of available MCP services when using the '@' symbol. If such a feature were directly integrated into Claude, it would be the ultimate success.
