• Access and list text notes via note:// URIs and metadata.
• Tools for creating new notes.
• Prompts for generating note summaries.

Resources

• List and access notes identified by note:// URIs.
• Each note contains a title, content, and metadata.
• Use a simple plain-text MIME type for content access.

Tools

• create_note - Create a new text note.
  • Requires a title and content as parameters.
  • Stores the note in the server state.

Prompts

• summarize_notes - Generate a summary of all stored notes.
  • Includes all note content as embedded resources.
  • Returns a structured prompt for LLM summary generation.

📦 Installation

Development

Install dependencies:

npm install

Build the server:

npm run build

Development with automatic rebuild:

npm run watch

Deployment

To use on Claude Desktop, add the server configuration:

On MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json On Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

🔧 Technical Details

Debugging can be difficult since MCP servers communicate via standard input and output. We recommend using the MCP Inspector, which can be run via a package script:

npm run inspector

The inspector will provide a URL in the browser to access debugging tools.
