Easy MCP AutoCad

🚀 AutoCAD MCP Server

An integrated AutoCAD server based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), supporting natural language interaction with AutoCAD through large language models (LLMs) like Claude. This case is for reference and learning purposes only. Some CAD functions are not fully implemented yet, but end-to-end communication on the AutoCAD side has been successfully achieved, and specific tool functions have been developed.

📦 Installation

System Requirements

• Python 3.10 or higher.
• AutoCAD 2018 or higher (COM interface support required).
• Windows operating system.

Installation Steps

1. Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/autocad-mcp-server.git
cd autocad-mcp-server

2. Create and activate a virtual environment

Windows system:

python -m venv .venv
.venv\Scripts\activate

macOS/Linux system:

python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate

3. Install dependencies

pip install -r requirements.txt

4. (Optional) Build an executable file

pyinstaller --onefile server.py

Run as an independent server

python server.py

Integrate with Claude Desktop

Edit the Claude Desktop configuration file (paths are as follows):

• Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
