A remote MCP server proxy that enables seamless communication between clients and MCP servers.

🚀 Quick Start

Step 1: Obtain the Remote MCP Server Key

Visit MCP.so, select a hosting server, and click Connect to generate your exclusive server_key.

Step 2: Configure the MCP Server in Any MCP Client

Take Claude Desktop as an example:

📦 Installation

To use it with Claude Desktop, add the server configuration:

• On MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• On Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Basic Usage

The above configuration in the "Quick Start" section shows the basic way to use the MCP Router Server with Claude Desktop.

If you want to use it in a more customized way, you can adjust the configuration parameters according to your needs. For example, modify the command and args in the configuration to meet different requirements.

🔧 Technical Details

Development

• Install Dependencies:

npm install

• Build the Server:

npm run build

• Develop with Automatic Rebuild:

npm run watch

Debugging

Since the MCP server communicates via stdio, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, which is available as a package script:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL to access the debugging tools in the browser.
