Brave Search MCP

🚀 Brave Search MCP Server

This is an MCP server integrating the Brave Search API. The server supports the following features:

• Web Search: Search and retrieve web content through Brave Search.
• Local Place Search (POI): Find nearby points of interest on the map, such as restaurants and hotels.
• Video Search: Search for and play video content on platforms like YouTube and Twitch.
• Image Search: Search for and view image resources through Google Images.
• News Search: Aggregate multiple news sources to provide real - time news.

📦 Installation

1. Install Dependencies:

   • Make sure Node.js and npm are installed.
   • Run npm install to install the required dependencies for the project.

2. Configure Environment Variables

   • Create a .env file and add the following content:

     API_KEY=your_api_key_here
     

3. Start the Server:

   • Execute the command node index.js or npm start to start the MCP service.

4. Call the API

   • Send a request to http://localhost:3000/v1/search/{type}, and replace {type} with the specific feature module ID as needed.
   • Example: curl http://localhost:3000/v1/search/web?q= Brave Search

⚠️ Important Note

• API Key: Please configure a valid API Key in the project.
• Data Security: When handling sensitive information, encryption and protection measures should be taken.
• Performance Optimization: Adjust the server configuration according to actual needs to ensure stable service operation.
