The Perses MCP Server is a local Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables LLM hosts (Claude Desktop, VS Code, Cursor) to interact with Perses applications in a standardized way.

Obtain the Perses Authentication Token

1. Log in to your Perses server using the percli command-line tool:

percli login <PERSES_SERVER_URL>

2. Obtain the token after successful login:

percli whoami --show-token

3. Copy the token for configuration.

Integration with Claude Desktop

The steps to add this MCP server to Claude Desktop are as follows:

1. Create or edit the Claude Desktop configuration file at the following paths:
   • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
   • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
   • Linux: ~/.config/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

You can easily access this file through the Claude Desktop application by navigating to Claude > Settings > Developers > Edit Configuration. 2. Add the following JSON block to the configuration file:

3. Restart Claude Desktop to apply the changes.

Integration with VS Code with GitHub Copilot

1. Open VS Code and go to the settings (File > Settings or Code > Preferences).
2. Enter "GitHub Copilot" in the search bar and select the corresponding settings.
3. Add the following content to the configuration:
