PassportMCP (ppmcp) helps you build an MCP server for any website and enables automatic synchronization of browser authentication. It's applicable to all websites. It encapsulates FastMCP and automatically adds the necessary authentication headers and cookies from the browser to outgoing requests. Once logged in via the browser, you can use it at any time. It's often simpler than purchasing developer APIs (e.g., Twitter/X), avoiding rate limits, waiting for approvals, or working with websites that don't have an API.

🚀 Quick Start

pip install ppmcp  # Install PassportMCP
ppmcp init        # Initialize a new project
cd my-project && npm run dev  # Start in development mode

📦 Installation Options

Via the Chrome Web Store

1. Visit PassportMCP Chrome Extension
2. Click "Add to Chrome"
3. Follow the prompts to complete the installation and setup

Local Development

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

The workflow of PassportMCP is as follows:

1. Install the extension in your browser
2. Initialize a new project using ppmcp init
3. Add the target website to the trusted domain list
4. Start the server in development mode: npm run dev

Advanced Usage

Paste credentials from the clipboard

ppmcp login --clipboard

Package and deploy

npm run build && npm start

Security
