🚀 Quick Start

mcp-arduino-server

The server listens for JSON-RPC MCP calls on STDIO. Key methods include:

Sketches

• create_new_sketch(name): Create a new sketch.
• list_sketches(): List all sketches.
• read_file(path): Read file content.
• write_file(path, content[, board_fqbn]) (Automatically compiles and opens .ino).

Build and Deployment

• verify_code(sketch, board_fqbn): Verify code.
• upload_sketch(sketch, port, board_fqbn): Upload a sketch.

Libraries

• lib_search(name[, limit]): Search for libraries.
• lib_install(name): Install a library.
• list_library_examples(name): List library examples.

Boards

• list_boards(): List all boards.
• board_search(query): Search for boards.

File Operations

• rename_file(src, dest): Rename a file.
• remove_file(path) (Destructive operation; limited to home and sketch directories).

WireViz Circuit Diagrams

• generate_circuit_diagram_from_description(desc, sketch="", output_base="circuit") (AI‑powered; requires OPENAI_API_KEY, automatically opens PNG file).
