This guide provides a step-by-step process for setting up your development environment and running the project.

🚀 Quick Start

📦 Environment Configuration

First, install uv and set up our Python project and environment:

MacOS/Linux: curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh
Windows: powershell -ExecutionPolicy ByPass -c "irm https://astral.sh/uv/install.ps1 | iex"

After the installation is complete, please restart your terminal to ensure the uv command takes effect.

Next, create and set up our project:

🏃‍♂️ Running the Local Claude Desktop Application

1. You need to update the claude_desktop_config.json file to register the tool.

📁 Finding the Location of claude_desktop_config.json

Windows: code $env:AppData\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
Mac/Linux: code ~/Library/Application\ Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Please add the following content to the configuration file:

🔧 Debugging

Since the MCP server runs via stdio, debugging can be challenging. For the best debugging experience, we highly recommend using MCP Inspector.

You can start the MCP Inspector with the following command:

npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector uv --directory C:\Users\Hp\Github-Oauth run github-oauth

After starting, the Inspector will display a URL in your browser, where you can begin debugging.
