This is a demonstration of the SmallCloud MCP server, an Anthropic model service created using Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP) SDK. It is suitable for Claude Desktop and other MCP hosts.

🚀 Quick Start

This is a demonstration specifically designed for Mac OS. Minor adjustments may be required for Windows systems. If you expect your MCP solution to be reused by others, it is recommended to create a package instead of simply using the index.js file as shown in this example.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js (Recommended version 18 or higher). In this example, it is installed via homebrew.
• npm

Steps

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/your-org/smallcloud-mcp-server.git
   cd smallcloud-mcp-server
   

2. Install dependencies:

   npm install
   

💻 Usage Examples

Running the Server

node index.js

Configuration for Claude Desktop (MacOS)

To make the MCP server appear in Claude Desktop on MacOS, add the following content to the ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json file:

⚠️ Important Note

Adjust the path of index.js according to your actual repository location.

Available Tools

The current server includes a demonstration tool:

• get_hello: Returns a message "Hello, World!"

Running Tests

To run the test suite:

npm test

The test suite currently checks the following:

• Server startup functionality
• Tool list functionality
