🚀 Self-Use MCP Servers

This repository provides a list of MCP servers for personal use and methods for building them. These servers are designed to run in Docker environments using the SSE mode whenever possible.

📦 Installation

You can pull the required Docker images, build the environment, and start the containers by executing the following commands:

# Download the required Docker images
docker compose pull

# Rebuild the Docker environment
docker compose build

# Start the MCP server in SSE mode
docker compose up -d

• mcp/time is a tool that cannot directly convert epoch time to a readable format. Therefore, it is not adopted for personal use.

mcp/git

The official documentation here also mentions how to start this service using Docker. Since it requires specifying the user's home directory path explicitly, you can use the ${userHome} variable when configuring it in VSCode's settings.json, as shown below:

Since this service cannot run in SSE mode, you need to add it to the MCP server using Docker commands. Please refer to the official README for specific instructions.

AWSLabs MCP

GitHub - awslabs/mcp

This library provides multiple server options, but currently, the focus is on setting up the environment for the documentation mcp server. It has been configured to run in SSE mode using Docker.

Before use, you need to add the following content to the MCP server configuration. Note that although it can be called from Cline, it has not been successfully called in VSCode Copilot's Agent mode. The reason for the failure when trying to install it locally and run it in stdio mode is unknown.
