🚀 MCP Server Demo Project Documentation

This is a sample project for an MCP (Model Control Protocol) service based on Spring Boot 3.4.4. It integrates the Spring AI toolchain to achieve intelligent service functions. The project includes implementation templates for services such as basic numerical operations and weather queries.

✨ Features

1. Number Service (NumberService)

• Determine odd and even numbers.
• Prime number detection (implemented).
• Expansion suggestions: Add functions like prime factorization and Fibonacci calculation.

2. Weather Service (WeatherService)

• Weather data interface (currently using random number pseudo - code. In actual applications, it needs to connect to a third - party API. Refer to OpenWeatherMap API).

3. MCP Tool Support

• Use the @Tool annotation to expose services as standardized tools.
• Use the @ToolParam annotation to define service parameters.

🚀 Quick Start

Environment Requirements

• JDK 17
• Maven 3.8+
• IDE (IntelliJ IDEA is recommended)

Running Steps

1. Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/liqingdong/mcp-server-demo.git 

2. Build the Project

mvn clean install

3. Use the Service

3.1 Use the STDIO Mode

3.1.1 Configure the Startup Command

java -jar -Dspring.ai.mcp.server.stdio=true target/mcp-server-demo-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar

3.1.2 Use a client that supports MCP tools, such as Cherry Studio, for testing.

3.2 Use the SSE Mode

3.2.1 Configure the Startup Command (the default access address is: http://localhost:8081/sse)

java -jar target/mcp-server-demo-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
