This project provides a server for handling book - related operations. It can be easily set up and integrated with cherry - studio.

🚀 Quick Start

📦 Installation

First, get the project and initialize it:

git clone https://github.com/VmLia/books-mcp-server.git
cd books-mcp-server
uv venv

⚠️ Important Note

The activation steps vary depending on your operating system.

If you are using a MacBook or Linux:

source .venv/bin/activate

If you are using Windows:

.venv\Scripts\activate.bat

Install Python Packages

Install the required Python packages:

uv add "mcp[cli]" httpx openai beautifulsoup4 lxml 

💡 Usage Tip

If your network speed is slow, you can configure a domestic mirror source.

uv add "mcp[cli]" httpx openai beautifulsoup4 lxml --index-url https://pypi.tuna.tsinghua.edu.cn/simple

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage with cherry - studio

There are two ways to use the books-mcp-server in cherry - studio.

Method 1: Configuration via the cherry - studio Settings Page

In the settings page of cherry - studio, click on "MCP Server", then click "Add Server", and configure it on the page.

• Type:

STDIO

• Command:

uv

• Arguments:

--directory
# your project dir
run
main.py

Method 2: Using Configuration Parameters

You can also use the following configuration parameters:
