🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Python version 3.13 or higher
• A HashiCorp Terraform Cloud/Enterprise account
• An access token

Environment Variables

Set the following environment variables before use:

• HCP_TERRAFORM_TOKEN: HashiCorp Terraform access token (required)
• HCP_TERRAFORM_ORG: HashiCorp Terraform organization name (required)
• HCP_TERRAFORM_BASE_URL: HashiCorp Terraform base URL (optional, default value is https://app.terraform.io)

Search for Private Modules

Use the hcp_terraform_search_private_modules tool to search for modules in the HashiCorp Terraform private repository.

Parameters:

• query: Search query
• provider (optional): Provider filter (e.g., aws, gcp, azure)
• limit (optional): Maximum number of results (default value is 10)

Get Module Details

Use the hcp_terraform_get_module tool to obtain detailed information about a specific module in the HashiCorp Terraform repository.

Parameters:

• module_name: Module name
• provider: Provider (e.g., aws, gcp, azure)
• registry_name (optional): Repository name (private or public, default is private)
• namespace (optional): Module namespace (uses the organization name if not specified)
