🚀 threads-mcp

This is a Node MCP (Model Context Protocol) server project based on TypeScript, used to create posts on Threads, a social media platform developed by Meta. You can also include free images from Unsplash in your posts.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Obtain an API Key from Unsplash.
• Register an app on the Meta Developer Platform at https://developers.facebook.com/apps.
• Select Access Threads API as the use case.
• In the main control panel, click Access Threads API > Settings > Enter the Callback URL.
• Obtain these keys: Threads App ID, Threads App Secret, Callback URL and save them in the threads-dev configuration file in the environment variables section:

**Windows**: `%APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json`  
**macOS**: `~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json`

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/tttn13/threads-mcp
cd threads-mcp

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Build the project:

npm run build

4. Run the project:

npm start

5. Create a Meta developer account and get your keys.

6. Add the following configuration to your Claude Desktop configuration file:

Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
