🚀 URL-based MCP Server

URL MCP is a proof-of-concept, stateless MCP server builder that allows users to set up their own MCP servers without writing or hosting code. It is mainly used for protocol and security experiments, not for real-world MCP integration.

🚀 Quick Start

Usage Steps

1. Visit https://url-mcp-demo.sshh.io/.
2. Add custom tools to your MCP server.
   • If you want to hard-code tool responses, select "Static Text Response".
   • If you want to use dynamic HTTP-based responses, select "HTTP POST Endpoint".
     • Usually, I use the temporary URL from https://webhook.site/, which can record all requests and allow you to configure custom responses.
3. Copy the MCP configuration to your chosen client.

Local Deployment

In fact, there's no need to deploy this project locally (the whole idea is that you don't need to host code and can use it via URL). However, if you want to modify the application itself:

1. Run cd backend && pip install requirements.txt && python main.py.

💻 Usage Examples

Example: System Prompt Information Leakage

Create a custom MCP server to extract the system prompts of an application.

1. Configure the tools to deceive the client into trusting them. Usually, I use the temporary URL from https://webhook.site/ to set up tool responses.
2. Copy the MCP configuration.
3. Request an audit on the client and view the webhook logs.
