🚀 MCpp Server

MCpp Server is a high-performance Minecraft server entirely developed in C++. It aims to provide a fast, efficient, and highly customizable gaming experience while closely resembling vanilla Minecraft, leveraging the powerful capabilities of C++.

📦 Installation

System Requirements

• Operating System: Linux or Windows (MingW only)
• Memory: At least 1GB RAM
• Disk Space: At least 500MB of available space
• Other Dependencies: CMake and a compilation toolchain (e.g., GCC)

Compilation Instructions

Linux

1. Clone the repository

   git clone https://github.com/Noeli4/MCppServer.git
   cd MCppServer
   

2. Create a build directory

   mkdir build
   cd build
   

3. Generate build files

   cmake ..
   

   • Debug mode:

     cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug ..
     

   • Release mode:

     cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release ..
     

4. Compile the project

   make
   

Windows (Using MingW and Make)

1. Clone the repository

   git clone https://github.com/Noeli4/MCppServer.git
   cd MCppServer
   

2. Create a build directory

   mkdir build
   cd build
   

3. Generate build files

   cmake .. -G "Unix Makefiles"
   

   • Debug mode:

     cmake -G "Unix Makefiles" -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug ..
     

   • Release mode:

     cmake -G "Unix Makefiles" -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release ..
     

4. Compile the project

   make
   

Windows (Using MingW and Ninja)

1. Clone the repository

   git clone https://github.com/Noeli4/MCppServer.git
   cd MCppServer
   

2. Create a build directory

   mkdir build
   cd build
   

3. Generate build files

   cmake .. -G "Ninja"
   

   • Debug mode:

     cmake -G "Ninja" -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug ..
     

   • Release mode:

     cmake -G "Ninja" -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release ..
     

4. Compile the project

   ninja

Running the Server

After compilation, run the server with the following command:

./MCppServer
