Build from Source Code

1. Clone the repository:

🚀 Quick Start

Run the following command in the terminal to start the tool:

npx mixpanel-analytics-tool --token YOUR_MIXPANEL_TOKEN

📚 Tool Reference

trackEvent

Track user events.

• Parameters:
  • event_name: Required, the name of the event.
  • properties: Optional, associated properties.

Track user sign - up and create a profile.

• Parameters:
  • user_name: Required, the user's name.

setUserProfile

Update the user profile.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Common Issues

1. Server not started:

   • Ensure a valid Mixpanel token is provided.
   • Check that Node.js is installed and the version is 16 or higher.

2. Mixpanel tool not displayed in Claude Desktop:

   • Validate the syntax of the claude_desktop_config.json file.
   • Ensure Claude Desktop is restarted after editing the configuration.
   • Confirm the server path is correct.

3. Events not displayed in Mixpanel:

   • Confirm the Mixpanel token is valid.
   • Check the Mixpanel project settings to ensure data reception is normal.
   • It may take a few minutes for events to appear in the interface.

Debug Mode

Run the server in debug mode to get detailed logs:

npx mixpanel-analytics-tool --token YOUR_MIXPANEL_TOKEN --debug

• Your Mixpanel token is stored in the Claude Desktop configuration file. Ensure proper file permissions.
