An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server integrated with OmniFocus, enabling Claude (or other MCP-compatible AI assistants) to interact with its tasks and projects through natural language conversations.

Prerequisites

• A macOS system with OmniFocus installed

Connecting to Claude

1. In Claude Desktop, add this MCP server to the configuration file:

~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

2. Add the following configuration:

3. Start Claude and connect to the new OmniFocus MCP server.

• add_task: Add a new task to a specified project.
• add_project: Create a new project and add it to the OmniFocus database.
