Twitch MCP

🚀 Twitch MCP Server

This project integrates Twitch chat with an MCP server, leveraging prior knowledge of Twitch chat integration and Quarkus-based MCP server construction.

I was inspired by this blog post: Twitch Chat Integration written by Max Rydahl Andersen. Since I had previously written a Twitch chat integration, I decided to combine that knowledge with the MCP server built by Max using Quarkus.

🚀 Quick Start

📦 Installation

Currently, this application has not been pushed to Maven Central. Therefore, you need to build it locally and install it into your .m2 folder using the command mvn install.

Next, we need a way to run the JAR file. In the following example, I used JBang.

💻 Usage Examples

Using MCP Inspector

Run npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector to start the local inspector service.

• Create an MCP configuration to run the following:
  • Command: jbang
  • Parameters: ["--quiet", "-Dtwitch.channel=YOUR_CHANNEL_NAME", "-Dtwitch.auth=YOUR_API_KEY", "be.tomcools:twitch-mcp:1.0.0-SNAPSHOT:runner"]

Now, you can manually invoke the tool.

Using Claude Desktop

For the Claude desktop version, add the following to claude_desktop_config.json:
