🚀 Local MCP Manager

A simple web-based management interface for starting, stopping, configuring, and viewing logs of MCP (Multi-functional Protocol) servers. It also supports cloning new repositories via Git and adding configurations using JSON.

🚀 Quick Start

First, ensure you have met the prerequisites. Then, clone the project repository, install the dependencies, and run the application. Finally, open your browser and access http://localhost:3000 to start managing your MCP servers.

• Web Interface: Manage your MCP servers through a web interface at http://localhost:3000.
• Server Management:
  • Manually add server configurations.
  • Add configurations by pasting JSON objects.
  • Edit existing configurations (name, command, arguments, environment variables).
  • Delete configurations from the list.
• Process Control:
  • Start ("Start") and stop ("Shutdown") individual MCP server processes.
  • View the status (running, stopped, error, etc.).
• Log Viewing: Real-time view of the server's standard output (stdout) and standard error (stderr) on the web interface.
• Git Cloning: Clone Git repositories containing MCP servers directly through the web. Automatically add a placeholder to the list for subsequent configuration after cloning.
• Persistence: Server configurations are saved in the local servers.json file.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js: Version 18 or higher is recommended (Download Node.js).
• Git: Must be installed to use the cloning feature (Download Git).

Steps

1. Clone the project repository:

   git clone https://github.com/your-repository.git
   cd your-repository
   

2. Install the dependencies:

   npm install
   

Running the Application

node index.js

Then open your browser and access http://localhost:3000.

Cloning a Repository

Adding Configurations

Adding via JSON Pasting

• Copy the following example JSON to your clipboard:

• Select "Add Configuration via JSON" on the web interface and paste the content.

Manual Addition

• Click the "Add Server" button.
• Fill in all the fields and save.

Starting and Stopping Servers

• Click the play (▶) or stop (■) buttons next to the servers in the list.
• The edit (✎) and delete (🗑️) options are only available when the server is stopped.
