🚀 Calculator

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server built with the mcp-framework. It aims to provide a convenient and efficient way for users to perform related operations.

# Install dependencies
npm install

# Build the project
npm run build

📦 Adding Components

The project comes with an example tool at src/tools/ExampleTool.ts. You can use the CLI to add more tools:

# Add a new tool
mcp add tool my-tool

# For example, you can create the following tools:
mcp add tool data-processor
mcp add tool api-client
mcp add tool file-handler

Basic Usage

🚀 Publishing to npm

Step 1: Update package.json

• Ensure the name is unique and complies with npm naming conventions.
• Set an appropriate version.
• Add information such as description, author, license, etc.
• Check that bin points to the correct entry file.

Step 2: Local Build and Testing

npm run build
npm link
calculator  # Test your CLI locally

Step 3: Log in to npm (create an account if needed)

npm login

Step 4: Publish your package

npm publish

After publishing, users can use it as follows:

npx calculator

🤝 Using with Claude Desktop

Installation via Smithery

To automatically install the calculator to the Claude desktop client via Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install @QuantGeekDev/mcp-add-sse --client claude

Local Development

Add the following to your Claude Desktop configuration file:

🔧 Building and Testing

1. Modify your tool code.
2. Run npm run build to build.
3. The server will automatically load your tool after starting.
