dank-mcp is an experimental open - source tool designed to support data analysis in specific domains. It achieves this by crawling, cleaning, and storing data, and providing a Machine - Readable Specification (MCP) service interface.

🚀 Quick Start

Users can quickly get started with the following commands:

Data Acquisition and Storage

dank-mcp supports fetching public data from data sources such as ct.data.gov and storing it in a DuckDB database. The default database file is dank-mcp.duckdb, supporting both in - memory mode and file mode.

# Specify the DuckDB file path
./dank-mcp --db /path/to/database.db

Data Cleaning

Considering that the upstream data may have quality issues, the project provides a data cleaning function. The main processing includes:

• Deleting abnormal characters
• Handling detected "trace" values (treated as 0)
• Filtering obviously incorrect data items

# Start data download and cleaning
./dank-mcp --dump

MCP Service Interface

The project implements a custom MCP server, allowing interaction via HTTP or SSE protocols.
