This is a TypeScript-based MCP server that provides access to Bitrefill services, allowing you to search for gift cards, mobile top-ups, etc. The server implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to expose Bitrefill functionality to AI assistants.

The server uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to communicate with AI assistants. Here's how it works:

🔧 Installation Steps

1. Install dependencies:

   npm install
   

2. Build the server:

   npm run build
   

3. Development mode (auto-rebuild):

   npm run watch
   

4. Debugging: Use the MCP inspector for debugging with the following command:

   npm run inspector
   

   This tool will provide a browser URL to access the debugging tool.

📦 Installation

Install via Smithery

Automatically install Bitrefill to Claude Desktop:

npx -y @smithery/cli install @bitrefill/bitrefill-mcp-server --client claude

Configuration in Claude Desktop

Add the server configuration to the corresponding path:

• MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Configuration in Cline

1. Open Cline settings.
2. Go to the "MCP Servers" tab.
3. Click "Configure MCP Server".

Configuration in Cursor

1. Open Cursor settings.
2. Go to the "Features" settings.
3. In the "MCP Servers" section, click "Add New MCP Server".
4. Enter a name and select the type as "command".
5. Enter the following in the "Command" field:

   npx -y bitrefill-mcp-server
   

Run with Docker

1. Build the image:

   docker build -t bitrefill-mcp-server .
   

2. Start the container:

   docker run -e BITREFILL_API_SECRET=your_api_key_here -e BITREFILL_API_ID=your_api_id_here bitrefill-mcp-server
   

3. Mount the code during development:

   docker run -v $(pwd):/app --env-file .env bitrefill-mcp-server

⚙️ Environment Variables

Create a .env file in the root directory and add the following content:

Basic Usage

1. Search for gift cards:

⚠️ Important Note

• The server is bound to localhost:4012 by default.
• Ensure that the environment variables are set correctly to enable the create_invoice tool.
• When using Docker, make sure Docker is installed and configured correctly.
