What is WorkflowLearner?
WorkflowLearner is a project that enables large language models to learn users' workflows using operation record files (in MHT format) generated by the Problem Steps Recorder (PSR.exe) built into Windows. It can automatically parse users' operation steps and screenshots to help AI understand complex workflows. How to use WorkflowLearner?
The usage is divided into three simple steps: 1) Record operations with PSR.exe. 2) Parse the generated MHT file. 3) Let the LLM learn the parsed workflow data. No programming experience is required throughout the process.Applicable scenarios
It is particularly suitable for scenarios where AI assistants need to be trained to learn repetitive computer operation workflows, such as software usage teaching, standardized workflow recording, and operation step automation.Main features
Operation step recording
Utilize the PSR.exe tool built into Windows to record operation steps such as mouse clicks and scrolling without installing additional software.
Intelligent parsing
Automatically parse operation steps and corresponding screenshots in the MHT file to extract structured workflow data.
LLM integration
Provide a standard interface for large language models to learn the parsed workflow, supporting multiple mainstream LLMs.
Advantages
Zero cost: Use the tool built into Windows without additional installation.
Ease of use: Graphical operation. You can record workflows without programming knowledge.
Compatibility: Support all Windows versions (7/8/10/11).
Limitations
Only available on the Windows platform.
Unable to record the specific content of keyboard input.
The screenshot quality depends on the screen resolution.
How to use
Record operations
Open PSR.exe through the Windows search, click the 'Start recording' button to perform operations. After completion, click 'Stop recording' and save the zip file.
Parse the file
Unzip the zip file to obtain the mht file, and use the parse_mht.py script for parsing.
Train the model
Use the learn_workflow.py script to let the LLM learn the parsed JSON data.
Usage examples
Software operation teaching
Record the Photoshop photo - editing process and generate a step - by - step teaching guide
Workflow automation
Record the Excel data processing process and automatically generate a Python automation script
