🚀 Microsoft Dynamics 365 MCP Server

Microsoft Dynamics 365 MCP Server is a server based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for interacting with Microsoft Dynamics 365. It offers a variety of tools that allow users to perform operations such as obtaining user information, retrieving accounts, associated opportunities, and creating and updating accounts from Claude Desktop.

This project uses the @modelcontextprotocol/sdk library to implement the MCP server and tools, and integrates data operations through the Dynamics 365 API.

Before you start, make sure you have installed the following:

• Node.js: Version v16 or higher.
• NPM (Node Package Manager).
• Access to a Microsoft Dynamics 365 instance and its API.

📦 Installation

Step 1: Clone the Repository

Run the following command in your terminal to clone the project repository:

git clone [Your repository URL]
cd dynamics-365-mcp-server

Step 2: Install Dependencies

Run the following command to install the project's required dependencies:

npm install

Step 3: Configure Environment Variables

Create a .env file and add the following content, making sure to replace the placeholders with your actual values:

PORT=3000
AZURE_CLIENT_ID=[Your application client ID]
AZURE_CLIENT_SECRET=[Your application password]
DYNAMICS_365_URL=[Your Dynamics 365 instance URL]

Step 4: Start the Server

Run the following command to start the MCP server:

npm start

The server will run on the specified port (default is 3000).

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

If you want to get user information, you can use the get-user-info tool. There is no need to input parameters, and it will return user details.

Advanced Usage

If you want to create a new account, you need to provide accountData which contains account details. For example:

// Assume there is a function to call the create-account tool
const accountData = {
    // Account details here

// Call the create-account tool with accountData
